Obria So Cal Volunteer Opportunity List

In-Clinic Volunteer:


·        Medical Volunteer – MD, RN, NP, PA, or MA volunteer to work with clinic staff to care for patients, as well as patient charting and health education; 4 to 8 hours per week commitment

·        APR Hotline Volunteers – RN volunteer to provide on call care for patients who have taken the abortion pill

·        Clinic Administrative Support Volunteer – Non-medical volunteer to make phone calls and copies, organize documents and supply closet, plus possibly log charts

·        Mobile Clinic Driver – Drive a 34’ RV, no special driver’s license required/regular driver’s license ok, training provided; must have decent driving record; 8 hour commitment 

·        Mobile Clinic Greeter – Handout marketing materials at mobile clinic site; Spanish speaking helpful


Beginnings Prenatal Class Volunteer:


·        Class Volunteer – Assist RN/Health Educator to better facilitate class, welcome parents-to-be to the program, possibly babysit; 2 hour per week/evenings

·        Dad's Project Volunteer- Mentor new fathers-to-be on a weekly basis, while encouraging men to be present during the beginning phases of fatherhood; 2 hours per week/evenings

Corporate Administrative Office Volunteer:


·        Corporate Volunteer- Support corporate staff weekly by inputting data, making phone calls, copying, mailings and research; excel and power point skills helpful

·        On Call Administrative/Event Volunteer – As needed volunteer to stuff envelopes, make calls, help prepare for special events, and be day-of event support; usually weekdays, events typically on weekends

·        On Call Physical Labor Volunteer -  As needed to help clean clinics, pack boxes and move; mostly weekends


Outreach and Programs Volunteer:


·        Church Liaison Volunteer - Work with the Church and Community Outreach Manager to provide information about Obria to your pastor/church

·        School Liaison Volunteer - Work with the Church and Outreach Manager to provide information about Obria to students at your school

·        Baby Shower Host Volunteer- Collect baby items for patients through your church, school, or community for our clinics or expectant parenting classes

·        Outreach Volunteer - Work with Church and Community Outreach Manager to represent Obria at church services, schools and health fairs
